Southwest Airlines schedule
Does anyone know if there is a pattern to the opening up of the next fare schedule for SouthWest. I'm trying to figure out if it is always extended for the same length of time when they advance it. Now they are accepting reservations up to June 9th. Before that jump they were excepting reservations until March 31st (10 weeks apart). Will the next be August18th (10 weeks)? I'm trying to plan a vacation in October and I wish I knew if the schedule is always advances 10 weeks.

There is unfortunately not..I suggest you subscribe to their "Ding" which supposedly alerts you to fare sales but I have heard people say that it also alerts to opening of reservations periods as well.Personally I do not subscribe to Ding.Best of Luck!!

Not much of a pattern I see:
http://www.fodors.com/forums/pgMessa...p;tid=34649456 Notes that Date: 07/15/2005, 04:24 pm Accepting reservations thru December 12th!!! http://www.fodors.com/forums/pgMessa...p;tid=34694857 Notes that Date: 10/27/2005, 03:03 pm Now booking thru March 31, 2006 Date: 12/20/2005, 09:18 pm Southwest started booking flights out to June 9th. Over the past year, "Ding" is where I've first noticed the schedule was extended. I do not always have Ding running and don't have full time inet connection, yet I seem to often notice it first (or at least am the big mouth to announce it) |
Today my Ding fare announcement also contains a second message:
"You are now free to travel thru August 3, 2006" Anyone see a trend? |
Yeah, that looks like a trend to me.
