Southwest Airlines pricing?

Do prices remain rather stable? I have only booked once with SW about 2 months out and the price never changed. I see some good pricing for around Christmas and am wondering if it is because it is so far out and then BOOM...up they go!

They do have sales from time to time. Christmas travel is always prime, no matter what airline. They did just have a sale last week, so maybe that was what you saw.

Southwest lets you rebook with no penalty/fee so if the prices goes down after your booked, you can change your ticket and the difference in price is a credit [that only original ticket holder] good for a year after date of 1st booking.

It is best to do 2 one way bookings as it makes it easier to rebook. Also, if you get Early Bird added to fare, and you want to rebook for lower fare - use the CHANGE flight option and the EB will carry to new flight. IF you cancel old flight and get a new flight, you will lose the $15. It has to be same itinerary/reservation # for the EB to stick.
