BA won't honor points on flt from Vienna to LHR...
Anyone run into BA refusing to let us fly on points from Vienna to London?
They have advised us to book and pay for a flight on another airline to get us to LHR
to get our BA BC onward flight...at a cost of around 700.Cdn.
Can't understand why they won't put this first leg on points but if is legit would it be a
good idea to train to a city where they will let us use points to get to LHR. Whole
thing sounds crazy - and at 220,000 points surely a mistake by the agent(s).

Maybe there's no room on the VIE-LHR flight? Or that the connection time is too short?
Without more information it's hard to volunteer any ideas. Date, times, number of pax, ultimate destination, class of service?

Not even a particular flt - just any time in a two day period.
Coach or BC. - we just want to get out of Dodge!
Re-booked for the 2nd time last week after BA arbitrarily
changed our day by 5 days - no notification just happened to
see it on our 'manage your flight' site. Ditto an e-itinerary
or confirmation from them - but the airport fees for LHR have
already been put on our VISA so they got THAT right! And every
agent seems to have a different take on our flights in June
- we're either too early or too late to get the ones we need.
I'm rapidly becoming disenchanted with BA...after years of
enjoying good service - the alternative is, gasp, Air Canada
and that's really the last recourse for us.

perhaps immimi is not aware how frequent flier seat availability works, eg limited seat availability. As in very limited. It's quite possible other travelers who have planned further ahead than you have already grabbed whatever available FF seats there were.
