SAS Airlines from SFO to CDG
I took advantage of a sale SAS has going on and booked a flight from SFO to CDG in June for $765 RT (economy class) Bringing my two young children...
I realize that's incredibly cheap, but does the price reflect the service of the airline? I've looked online and found some iffy reviews, nothing too horrible. Wondering if anyone has personal experience flying with them and if they would fly them again. Thanks! |
That is an extraordinary bargain for the start of summer, on a long-established airline which has to compete with the low-cost carrier Norwegian. The one drawback is that you will have to connect through Copenhagen, making for a longer trip. I can't personally comment on the level of service. Some people look at Flyertalk for reviews http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/searc...9323&query=sas

I flew from SFO to CPH on SAS last year. It was a good flight.
I have actually flown SAS from US to CPH on 4 different trips [ORD, EWR and Dulles]; on one trip, flew home from CDG. We really like them as an airline. We have not had 1 complaint about them, the planes or anything. Food is decent too. I am glad you got that fare. I thought it was a mistake since no other city had any fare that low. We would have gone, but we are heading to Italy in May on a $399 fare we got. |
Great to know, DebitNM! I think that'll put my mind at ease...

It will be fine. SAS is good enough for long-haul. Not great, not terrible. Some of their planes are a bit tattered, but nothing too bad. Service can be brusque, but they are Scandinavian after all. All in all, I flew them a fair bit when I lived in Copenhagen and wouldn't go out of my way to avoid them, but would prefer certain other carriers all else being equal.
Congrats on the good fare. |
For future reference Google Sky trax. Tons of reviews for virtually all airlines and related subjects like airline seats, lounges, Etc.

Wow, is that fare still being offered ?
