Royal Jordanian
I'll be flying with Royal Jordanian
(JFK to AMS) this May. Anyone with
an opinion of that carrier?

Cheers,

Gerry K

I have just flown with them from Bangkok to Amman, to Cairo, to Amman and back to Bangkok.
Nothing would ever persuade me to fly with them again. |
Tangata, why do you say that?

The planes are old, the in-flight entertainment system in Economy consists of projected TV, so you have no choice at all.
I found the seats very uncomfortable and ended up padding mine with blankets. The food supplied was basic. On one nine hour flight I managed to get a small can of beer, no wine was offered with dinner. On the other flights, including one other nine hour flight, only tea and coffee were offered. The service was appalling. Between Amman and Bangkok we had breakfast and lunch thrown at us but other than that there was no offer of even water or fruit juices throughout the flight – if you wanted to you could go to the gallery and collect a drink. The toilets were lefts in an unacceptable state. The stewards and stewardesses congregated in the galley areas and were not seen throughout the flight. |
Well, that's convincing!
Yikes... sorry for the bad experience! I hope they've improved since you flew with them. |
Definitely try to fly another airline besides Royal Jordanian. Qatar Airlines has excellent service and the planes are all new. Also, I have had a real problem trying to get mileage credit with RJ's frequent flyer program. Stick to the real profesionals (Emirates, Qatar) for now. Good luck!
