Requesting miles credit with Continental
Back on January 26, I was suppose to fly from Fort Lauderdale to Houston, and then on to San Jose, California, but the plane was late arriving into Fort Lauderdale, so Continental placed me on a Frontier aircraft to Denver and a United plane from Denver to San Jose.
I received miles for the Denver to San Jose United flight, but can I get miles for the Frontier flight from Fort Lauderdale to Denver? I went to Continental's request miles credit section on the internet and it said to type in the 13 numbers of the ticket into the box, but there are 14 numbers on the ticket. Any suggestions and comments? |
I would email or call CO's customer service. It sounds like this can't be done on line since the ticket numbers are not for a CO ticket. Please let us know how it goes.

if it's not a CO ticket it can't be done online, you have to call.

Thanks. I will call Monday.

You have a choice of getting the extra FLL-DEN mileage in addition to the DEN-SJC ones already deposited; OR you can request getting original routing mileage FLL-IAH-SJC instead of what you already got.
Since FLL-DEN-SJC is longer than FLL-IAH-SJC, you should ask for the first option. |
Thanks again. Sounds good. With my flights with Singapore in May and Swiss in July, I should make Gold this year.

BTW, Thursday night I flew from Maui, Hawaii to LAX and got upgraded to First. Unfortunately, this was the third flight in a row with Continental where the Fasten Seatbelt sign was never turned off. Fortunately, the flight attendants didn't make any loud announcements during the flight.
