Question for Southwest flyers/drinkers :)

We're flying Southwest for the first time next month and I see with Southwest drink coupons you can use 3 for beer or wine, 4 for a mixed drink. On the wine, is it one of those little bottles? Or do they just pour you a small glass? just curious....

I usually go for Crown and Coke so it's been a couple of years since I ordered wine, but as I recall they poured it into a small glass.

This is southwest, it's like going on a public bus.. just waiting for your stop to get off not to wine and dine.

I am curios too, where are you seeing those coupons? Is there an option to buy with a ticket?

I remember they offered them with the frequent flier miles. Well... those miles should be used within a year or they'll disappear off your report.

Just have $5 ready and ask if you don't see anyone else buying.

The wine comes already in a glass so you have no idea what brand you are drinking. The beer will come glass with can.

Hi, Faina. SW has recently changed the rules so your flight credits now have a life of 2 years. The coupons can be purchased, but they usually send them to me for free along with my award ticket. Which reminds me, my freebie s/b coming in the mail soon. :-)

Hmmmm... just a week ago I was told it's only 1 year! They don't like me :)

I don't fly that much anyway!

Well Faina, anyone who doesn't like you is NOT someone I would care to meet. :-)

The change to 2 years just became effective August 10, so maybe that person has been on maternity leave. :-)) Check this out from SW's web page:
