Qualifying activity American Advantage Miles

Jump to last reply

Advantage miles will expire 9/30 without a qualifying event. Looking for suggestions to keep miles. I have briefly looked at options and am thinking about using Points.com to redeem for gift card(s) - I am confused as to if this will be considered a qualifying activity. Any one know.

We have more or less switched over to Southwest Airlines because they have direct flights where we want to go. We are not flying overseas like we did and that also is why the activity dropped on AA.

Any and all suggestions welcome.
