Qantas Airways/Australia
Hi i know that Qantas Airways has Non-Stop Flights from Los Angeles to Australia but does anyone here know if any other Airlines Fly From any other American City Non-Stop to Australia any information about this would be appreciated thanks.

AFAIK,
that's your only choice if you want non-stop flight between US and Australia. |
United flies nonstop LAX-SYD and SFO-SYD.
|
Oh, and I think there are some non-stop flights from Honolulu to Sydney--Air Canada has one...and maybe Jetstar and others???
|
Qantas also flies from SFO to Sydney.
They also have through-plane (one stop) service from JFK and Vancouver BC (seasonally) - JFK stopping at LAX and YVR stopping at SFO. |
I think Hawaiian goes nonstop from Honolulu.
|
Do you need non-stop - ie takes off in US, lands in Oz without stopping or direct - ie takes off in US, lands somewhere, lands in Oz but you stay on the same plane all the way
|
I don't know any case where a flight from the US that stops en route, lets you stay on the plane.
|
You might be able to stay on QF26 at AKL before it goes on to MEL (starts at LAX.)

I'm flying from Austin to Perth in 23 days and part of my flight is straight from LAX to Brisbane. I don't know why you'd want a direct flight. I'm appalled at the idea of not being able to really stretch my legs, get normal food, use a real bathroom and wash my face properly (and not in two second bursts where you have to touch the filthy tap every few seconds) for a straight god knows how many hours. I've flown trans-Atlantic flights, and that's bearable, but straight from LA to Oz? I would NOT go out of my way to book a flight like that, and I probably wouldn't even book a flight like this ever again. Sure you save time in customs and all that, but it's so not worth it.

It's not quite non-stop, but I think Air New Zealand flies LAX (and SFO) to Australia, stopping briefly in Auckland. The advantage of Air New Zealand is that it offers a premium economy product (which Qantas doesn't have). For a very long trip like this one, premium economy is worth the splurge but is not as exorbitantly priced as business class.
