Priority boarding on United?

I have a Continental One Pass credit card; one of the perks is priority boarding, before general boarding.

My question is: how do the gate agents verify that status? Does it come up on the boarding pass when printed or do they expect to see the credit card?

I didn’t purchase the ticket with this card so maybe it does me no good anyway.

If it isn't on the boarding pass, you'll need to show the card. Doesn't matter when or how you got the ticket, you qualify now.

lcuy, thanks for the reply.

One other complication; my wife and I are traveling together but not on the same itinerary, I wonder if they will also let her board with me if she doesn’t have her own card?

google: priority boarding with onepass card and:

Benefits apply to the primary cardmember on the credit card account and anyone traveling on the same reservation.

Your boarding pass will have "Elite Access" printed on it. Doesn't matter whether or not you used the card to buy the ticket. As long as your FF account # is on the reservation it will link to the card associated with that account and get you the priority boarding privilege. Companions on the same itinerary would also have "Elite Access" printed on their boarding pass but since your wife is on a different reservation she will not. In reality if the two of you just get in line together (with you going first) you will likely be just fine.
