Printing boarding pass online?

I bought airfare on Spirit Airlines and saw that I can print my boarding pass 24 hours pre-flight. Does this mean that I will not have to stand in the check-in line? Check my bags curbside and go directly through security? I will be flying out of Chicago-O'Hare.

I'm not sure how it works with Spirit, but with Northwest, yes, when you check in online you are checked in for the flight and you present the boarding pass at the gate. If you need to check bags, you can check them curbside or at the dedicated internet check-in baggage check lines. Again, that's Northwest. I don't know how it works on Spirit.

Yes, that's the whole idea for online check-in.

We had trouble one time because we printed on an ink jet printer and the barcode wouldn't scan. I make sure I print on a laser printer now.

One thing to remember, if you have a printer that prints duplex (both sides), make sure that you reset your printer to not do that. Otherwise, your first flight segment is on one side, the second is on the other...

You'd think I'd learn...
