Prices Help!
 

Hello,
I'm traveling in May 2009, from Boston to Cancun, Mexico.
I can get tickets now for about $550 a person. Should I go ahead and take these? Or wait a few months and see how the price goes? Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated, thank you!

What dates are you looking for?

I see fares at $450 total but it may not fit your desired dates.

Where do you find your tickets? Do you look at specific airlines or just use something like www.sidestep.com? Thanks!

Yes, that's what I found also, do you think I should take these prices? Even though Jet Blue has direct to Cancun from Boston, for a little more, but AA charges for bags....

That has to be your decision. Add all the charges to the AA fare and the fact that you have to connect, and we all spend money during layovers and then make a decision.

It would be $993 all in for two in April at jetblue dot com (based on their $199 fare each way). That's about $45 more per person if you can get that fare for May. The fare could go up or down and the nonstop could be dropped from the schedule. jetBlue just started offering fares for Feb-Apr about 10 days ago so it might be two or three months until they offer fares for May. But that would still be 6 months in advance.
