Posting miles with Continental from other airlines
 

One week ago, I flew Swiss from Miami to Zurich and Barcelona. At check-in time, I gave them my Continental Frequent Flyer number. Does anyone have any idea how long it will take for the miles to credit? The miles have not posted yet. Do I need to fill out the paperwork?

Miles should post within 6 weeks. If not, you have to send it the forms and boarding passes and copy of receipt. Can't do it online for partner flights.

While they may not act on the paperwork yet, one week seems like a fair amount of time. I would make sure that you have your BPs in a safe place, because this one smells like you may have to request manual credit.

Swiss is very slow. We flew them in mid-October and the miles haven't yet been posted to our United account. United says they are working on it. They certainly aren't the old SWISSAIR! Good luck.

Don't forget these apply to any kind of travel - air, car, hotel, etc.
