One-way flight on Air France

The cost of a one-way flight from NCE to LHR is outrageous. What would happen if we bought round-trip tickets and didn't use the return portion?

You won't be flying back to Nice.

Seriously, that means nothing will happen.

Cancel that--I got AA to change our flight time on BA, so no need for Air France. But...the AA agent told me that the time change doesn't require new itinerary, as it's noted in our file. True? Makes me nervous.

e-ticket number and PNR (the 6-digit reservation number) can all stay the same with a flight change. No need to have new one.
