Non-Smoking Flights to Paris
 

I'm going to Paris for the first time this summer. This is my first trip to Europe so I'm really excite! I have asthma and allergies and smoke really bothers me. Any suggestions on what airline has the cheapest and non-smoking flights available? Thanks!

Which airline allows smoking is more of a question, as far as i am aware non do.

Pretty much any airline you choose these days will be entirely non-smoking. :) Are there even any left? You don't say where you're flying from, but certainly the ones you'd be apt to fly to Paris from the U.S. (American, Delta, Continental, Air France, United ...) are all non-smoking.

I haven't been to France since the new smoking laws went into effect -- and as on January 2008, even restaurants, cafes and bars will prohibit smoking indoors :) -- but you do know that a lot of people in France smoke, right? If you sit in a sidewalk cafe, people around you will likely light up.

Cubana may still allow smoking for trans-Atlantic flights.

i won't say the same thing for cafes and bistros though once your there! ;-)
perhaps you can try for the outside tables, etc...

thecocoapod, as everyone else has stated, it would be just about impossible to find a flight that DOES allow smoking.

As otto points out, once you get there you will be surrounded by smokers. I am also asthmatic and I never had any problems in France in the summer because there are so many outdoor cafes. Also the windows and doors will be open at that time of year so you will probably be OK.

If you ever travel to Paris in the winter--beware!! I didn't think of this until it happened, but when I went to Paris in Jan. 2005, I got very sick with asthma and bronchitis. Needless to say the winter there is very cold so windows are closed and you don't want to sit outside. There's really no escape from the smoke in the Parisian winter. Please keep that in mind if you ever do take a winter vacation in Paris.

How is that smokers airline doing? I believe it was based out of Germany.

It is no longer legal to smoke in public places indoors in France, except for a few types of locations that have a grace period (restaurants, bars, etc.).
