New web sites for airline shopping

A local Seattle channel aired a segment about new ways of getting information on pricing, etc. www.farecast.com is supposed to give advice on the best dates and times to fly for best rates...you choose the airline and the departure/arrival cities. You can't book through this site but when you have settled on a carrier/date/time they link you to the airline's web site.

www.yapta.com (your amazing personal travel assistant)is a similar site.

This site has been reported here as early as JUNE, 2006.

It must have been a slow news day in Seattle.

One that I just heard about is vayama.com. Is that an old or new site and has anybody used it?

vayama was written up recently in NY Times Travel section. If you go to the website, it does say BETA under the name of site, so looks like it may be new. I poked around on it, looks promising.

I just love a travel forum where someone tries to post something helpful, and another has to post a snide remark because they think they know everything. Me being *sarcastic*.
