I haven't flown them, but the new seats are generic angled flat seats. Opinions about service standards on Aer Lingus are not very high, IME. Also, they do not have these seats on all planes, so it isn't clear that you would be able to count on getting one of the new seats. The short-haul product is poor, and is akin to the European budget airlines, so any connecting itinerary would include a stretch of discomfort. Unless they are much cheaper, or provide the best schedule, I would consider any number of carriers besides Aer Lingus.
