Mumbai/Bombay to Delhi-what is the safest and most reliable airline to use?

Son is flying from the states to Mumbai and needs to take an airline from Mumbai to Delhi. He says that he keeps reading about Air Zahara(?) and that its an Indian discount airline like Ryan or EasyJet. Any thoughts on them? Would you suggest another carrier? I appreciate all imput as I am a basket case about using "off airlines". Thanks!

That's Air Sahara......and they are perfectly safe!!!

If you would like luxuary....try kingfisher or jetairways. They both are WAY BETTER than all the USA carriers.

Good Luck!!!

Air Sahara is good. But there are other options too...such as: Jet Airways, and Indian. I've heard a lot of the emerging (it's a new concept in India) trend of low cost carriers in India. So, options range from Spicejet, Indigo, Goair and more...

Air Sahara is a partner in the American Airlines OneWorld alliance, I believe. If that matters to you.

Fly with Kingfisher Airlines, the finest airlines in India. No domestic American carrier comes even close.

Thanks for the info on Kingfisher but it sure seems more expensive than Air Sahara?

Depends on the sector etc. It is a full service airline, has a brand new Airbus fleet, and the service is top notch. If the price difference is not significant, best to choose Kingfisher.
