Metal Eating Utensils Return to AA

I flew AA from DFW to DCA this past weekend on a NetSaaver fare and upgraded to first class. I can confirm that metal eating utensils are being used in first class! For breakfast on the outbound flight and for dinner on the return flight, I received a metal spoon, fork, and knife. Yeah! - no more plastic knives.

There was not an announcement informing passengers that they could use the lavatories in either cabin. Only two people came up from coach to use the first class toilet on the flight to DC and only one on the flight home.

Everyone knows first class passengers are not terrorists.

The terrorists onboard on 9/11 were not sitting in coach.

Why does one need eating utensils when eating a "shack pack."

BTW, American Airlines send me an E-Mail that stated, "now is the time to book that summer flight to Europe." When I checked www.kayak.com, British Airways was almost $300 cheaper than AA. Now on that airline, one does need eating utensils. They also have free alcohol and none of this "that will be $5 crap" that American Airlines is famous for.

but they are famous for putting a stiff next to you, especially if you paid ~5K BPs for first class...

perhaps the fork would be very usefull to check if the "seat mate" is actually a stiff???
