MAKING CONNECTION CDG - 3 HOURS
 

HELLO,

I am traveling from NYC - CDG, and then CDG - TUN (separate flights so will need to claim baggage). Is three hours enough time to go through immigration, etc and make the second flight?

Yes they are separate flights . . . but are they separate <i>tickets</i> and/or airlines? Your bags could very well be interlined.

Someone else may know for sure - but since you are not going anywhere in Schengen and are just transiting at CDG my guess is you won't go through immigration. (I haven't transited from the States via CDG to a different continent - so I'm not positive. But you aren't really entering France)

They are separate tickets on separate airlines.

Which airlines? Even on separate tickets, in many (but not all) cases your airline will transfer the luggage to the next flight. Obviously, budget airlines don't do this.

Yes, in that case you will need to claim baggage, go through immigration, check your baggage again, go back through immigration and security to board your next flight.

I'm sure others here have more experience at CDG than I do, but I'd be concerned about the three hour window.

What if I have carry-on baggage only? I would have to go through immigration, but not security again. Is three hours enough in that case?

Which airlines specifically? It is important to know which terminals you are dealing with.
