Lufthansa Economy Light - transatlantic: meals?

Has anyone flown transatlantic USA/Canada to/from Europe on a Lufthansa Economy Light fare? If so, did you receive a "snack" or a full meal?

I've spoken to Lufthansa twice; one representative told me we'd get a full meal, another said a snack only. I've looked all through their website, and the info is ambiguous/unclear. I've searched the internet and read conflicting info.

So now I look to you, dear Fodorite who has flown Lufthansa across the pond on a cursed Economy Light fare. Did you get a full meal?

(I booked our flights through Chase to use our copious award points; on the Chase site, there was no indication of the fare being Economy Light. But I still knocked off nearly $2,000 from our fares, so I can't complain too much. Just want to know how much advance planning we need to do re. eating in-flight.)

The LH site is silent or vague as to inflight food service but this page states that inflight meals are not affected. I am no sure how meal service restrictions would be implemented in practice - seems it would be a real pain for cabin crew.

Cabin crew are capable of managing meal restrictions, they manage it the whole time.

Even if they serve a meal, it will be airline food. Pack a sandwich in your personal item.

Odin - you mean the crew would need to have a roster listing the eligibility of every passenger? That's way different than distinguishing between first class and coach, or identifying who gets a pre-reserved special meal. Wanna bet the unions would be up in arms over this?

Has anyone actually flown across the Atlantic in Lufthansa with a Economy Light fare and can answer from personal experience?

I have flown economy class on Lufthansa and we were served a meal. I went from Dublin to Frankfurt and they gave us beer and a sandwich a couple of years ago, I always eat before boarding if evening flight so don't worry about eating but I look forward to something on a day flight. I would get a sandwich in Munich for the return flight if worried. They have so many places in airport that you could get something easy enough.
