Lufthansa Business

Hi,
Has anyone flown business class on Lufthansa?
I am considering flying them in Nov. MIA-FRANKFURT-CAIRO. How is the service and the seats? Thanks

Seats and service are both very good. check LL website to find out if MIA-FRA equipment has the new business class - it's a step up from the older ones.

They have internet access for I believe
$17 per flight.

Seats are excellent. There are motor-driven and can be adjusted to a flat bed. Really good for sleeping.

Service: Expect real champagne, a good meal and plenty of drinks - wines, sweet wines, spirits, cocktails...

Extensive personal entertainment.

GONE!!!

The prices varied from airline to airline, but were typically $9.99 for one hour of access, $14.95 for two hours of access, $17.95 for 3 hours of access and $26.95 for flat-rate access. Various payment options were allowed. The service could be paid with major credit cards, mobile phone, hotspot accounts and even frequent flyer miles.

Boeing offered free service starting on October 2, 2006 as part of its plan to discontinue the service on December 31, 2006. [1]

The service had a live helpdesk chat feature available for customers who have troubles with their connections. Connexion sponsors the business travel blog, InFlightHQ.

Connexion by Boeing also extended its internet service to include the maritime market in 2005. The first maritime vessels equipped with Connexion by Boeing service were provisioned in 2006.

In June 26, 2006 it became public that Boeing was exploring selling or shutting down Connexion By Boeing, having failed to attract sufficient customers. [2]

On August 17, 2006, Boeing announced that it would discontinue its Connexion service, stating that, "the market for this service has not materialized as had been expected."[3]

Thanks AAFrequentflyer. The last time
I flew Lufthansa was last Easter. I am
sorry that internet is no longer available. I saw lots of travelers
making good use of it.

Flew them Frankfurt to LAX in March. The seats are ok, but they do not get 100% flat. Still, much better than coach.
Food was good, but not as good as on Austrian Airlines which we flew business class on the way over. They have private chefs on each flight for their business/first combo!
Lufthansa's business had the best entertainment system however. There were about 40 choices of on demand programs with good sized screens and the ability to pause and rewind.

We flew Lufthansa Dulles to Munich to Moscow, and return recently. The entire trip was great. Good food/drink, on time, no luggage problems and loads of room. We started in Denver via United, and even their first class domestic didn't equal Luft.
