Can anyone recommend an airlines that flies from LAX to Lima, Peru?

Or you can connect with Continental in Houston, American in Miami, Delta in Atlanta, or TACA in El Salvador.

If the price is the same or close the choice is easy for me
LAN flies direct (about 8.5 hours).

Note that their website and fare system is squirrely eg you may find that the initial price you think you are going to pay is not what the quote ends at, or that you have to call them to actually pay for the ticket. If you book on the website and then have to make the phone call they will still give the 3% discount. Also if you fly into South America on LAN the internal South American Airpass gives nice discounts on flights even between countries.

Also if you are planning on going to Machu Picchu you also have to fly to Cusco. You may want to see if you can get a quote from an airline that includes the ticket LAX to Cusco.

I second the vote for LAN. I flew that route and it was fine. Non-stop is always best if you can get it.
