LH bid for Premium Economy

LH bid for Premium Economy
I'm booked in coach for a trip from DEN-MUC in early December on Lufthansa, aircraft is an A333.
At the time of booking, I placed a bid for an upgrade to Premium Economy and I paid a $35 fee to select an aisle seat for my existing reservation in coach.
The Premium Economy seating on the A333 is 2-3-2.
If my upgrade goes through, will my selection of an aisle seat have any bearing on the Premium Economy seat, or am I taking the chance that I could end up in the middle or window?
Having an aisle seat is important enough to me that I might cancel the bid if I could end up in a middle or window, even in Premium Economy.
I'll call and ask LH at some point, but wanted to ask here as well.
Thanks in advance for any insight.

As I suspected, my bid wasn't high enough so I'm unable to answer my own question.
However, there were loads of empty seats in economy class, so I was able to score a whole row (two seats) to myself.
All things considered it was a pretty comfortable flight, and the food was surprisingly good.
I've placed a bid for the return flight next week, but suspect it won't go through either.
