Less Security Chaos for US bound flights from Toronto today

I looked at the departures board for the Toronto airport (YYZ) yesterday and today and am pleased to report that after seeing delays of typically 3 to 5 hours for flights to US destinations yesterday things are much closer to normal today with some flights actually leaving on time. Being unable to go through all the carry on bags by hand in a timely manner Transport Canada has virtually banned it except for meds, cameras, computers, coats and a few other things.

Domestic flights and non-US international flights appear to be normal. Toronto likely has more flights to the US than any other airport and has therefore likely been most disrupted by the reaction to recent events.

My wife is feeling rather clever for advising a friend to pay a few dollars more to avoid flying through the US on a trip to Asia. The friend's flight to Manila by way fo Seoul left on time yesterday.
