LAX Connecting Time questions
Hello all,
I will be travelling next Tuesday (April 5) on the following itinerary. YMM -> YYC - Air Canada YYC -> YVR- Air Canada YVR -> LAX - Air Canada LAX -> NRT - Singapore Airlines I understand that this will require a transfer from T2 to TBIT. According to my itinerary, I have a 2 hour and 18 minute layover in LAX before my flight to Tokyo, which is due to leave at 3:45pm local time. So taking that all into consideration, I have two questions: 1) My flights are all on a single ticket, as they were booked with a Star Alliance rewards program. Will I have to pick up my baggage and check in with Singapore Airlines at TBIT, or will it only be the one time, when I land in YVR and go through customs there? 2) Taking the terminal change and the date/time I'm flying, will 2 hours and 18 minutes be enough time to connect? Thank you in advance. |
1. Say goodbye to your bags at YVR. Just be sure that at some point you see a tag with "SIN" on them.
2. Should be okay. The walk from the T2 door to the TBIT entrance should take you 10 min. tops, then you'll have to clear security. |
Sorry, "NRT" not "SIN."

About 550 yards from T2 to TBIT. I suggest taking the shuttle from the lower (arrivals) level.

Thanks, gardyloo and rkkwan! I've never been to LAX before, but at least now I know what I'm getting myself into.
