KLM

Someone told me that KLM now charge for alcohol on transatlantic routes and restrict each passenger to 2 drinks. Anyone know if this is true?

<BR>Last month I flew KLM Amsterdam - Tanzania and there was no limit on alcohol nor a charge.<BR>I'm not sure that KLM does transatlantic flites (isn't it Northwest?)

KLM does transatlantic service. The fly in/out of Vancouver, Canada every day on the Amsterdam route. My experience with KLM has been spotty. They can be VERY good or just mediocre. In any event, try NOT to get a codeshare operated by NW. KLM service is much better than that of their code share partner NW.

It is a flight from Amsterdam to Miami I am getting - anyone know if this a KML or NW?

jj Jan 12th, 2003 12:11 PM

Andy, why not call KLM or NW directly?<BR><BR>Or have a look at their webpages to find out. It's usually listed which airline operates the flights.

Just look at your confirmation/itinerary statement. Airlines are required to indicate on there if it is a code shared flight.

Miami - Amsterdam is on a KLM plane. KLM do many transatlantic flights: daily to / from Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Detroit, Miami, Curacao, Aruba, Mexico, Sao Paolo and others. in addition there are many codeshares on Northwest. <BR>Drinks (including alcoholic ones) on KLM are free and &quot;unlimited&quot; in all classes.
