JFK to MAD posted as 1077 miles on AAdvantage (Flew Iberia)....

Is this correct? That's like 1/3 of the actual miles?

It looks like most discounted economy fares on Iberia earn 30% Aadvantage miles.

Thanks. I guess I should have read the fine print.

Sorry. Another question. How does CO mileage accrue on Delta? Same question for Virgin?

Thanks again.

For most discount fares on DL, you earn 100% CO Onepass miles, but only 50% EQM.

Same thing the reverse. Flying CO, you earn 100% Skymiles, but 50% MQM.

One earn 100% Onepass miles flying VS, but 100% EQM only for US-London. London onwards earn Onepass miles but no EQM.

Can VS miles accrue on Delta? The return is CO/VS code share.

Thanks.

And read the find print #19 in the bottom. I don't know about the MQM situation there.

Since Feb 2006, you can earn MQM for VS flights http://tinyurl.com/m7xdj

I believe flights need to be VS (not CO) code to qualify for DL mileage credit.

Thanks for helping me save time to read the fine print.

JFK BRU is class Q.
LHR JFK is class B. This is listed as CO 8219 but is code share with VS.

Anyone see any problems with accumulating 100% miles? (I don't.)

Thanks again.

See my post above. Unless this has changed recently, I don't think you can earn DL miles for CO coded VS operated flights, only VS coded VS operated flights.

Trying to fly on Airline X with a Airline Y flight number, and then earn FF miles on Airline Z is risky business. I will trust Patty that it won't work in your case, even if Airline X and Z are partners themselves.

[Sometimes it may work, like flying KL-operated, NW-coded flight, and try to earn CO miles.]

Anyways, not that this matter to you, but "Q" on CO is a "deep discount" fare, while "B" is higher, just a "discount" fare.

Thanks. I guess I'll accumulate the VS portion on my useless VS FF program then. I'm a member, but I try to accumulate all my miles on DL or AA.

I'll call CO and check. I was a little pissed about the 30% mileage for the Iberia flights. But then, I really don't have much of an option since it'd be even more useless to start a FF program with Iberia and accumulate the miles there.

By the way my miles went through for Brussels an London:

13 Aug 2006 Virgin Atlantic Flight 25 from LHR to New York-Kennedy, NY (Q) 3458 0 3458 3458

11 Aug 2006 Continental Airlines Flight 60 from Newark, NJ to Brussels, Belgium (Q) 3681 0 3681 1841

I earned half MQM for Brussels (CO).

Thanks.
