Is it true SWISS air serves no food?
We are traveling from LA to Nairobi via Zurich - booked through United air miles. Last leg of the trip is Zurich to Nairobi on SWISS air, coach. This is an international flight of more than 7 hours. Our reservation doesn't even state food can be purchased on board???
Is there somewhere we can buy carryon food at the Zurich airport? We only have a two hour layover.

Why do you think food isn't served? Because it isn't mentioned on you ticket? YES, they do serve meals. Did you look at the website?

Because our itinerary, booked with United Miles, shows "Meals for Purchase" and "Dinner" on the two UA flights but for the last flight on Swiss is says "Meals: None"..
Looks like United just doesn't know. Thanks, much. I check our reservations with Swiss directly.

We live in Cleveland, so we most often fly on United, but everytime we can find a Swiss codeshare, we grab it. So we have flown often on Swiss, and the schedules, no doubt a product of United, always say Meals None for the legs flown on Swiss, but we have always been fed on those legs. I surmise it is just to much work for United to check with Swiss and post the information. Swiss also will not give advance seat assignments when they are flying a codeshare under United which I think is a pretty common practice.
