Is Continental ok to Naples?
 

Am traveling to Naples, Italy from FLA in late May. How is Continental internationally....
Food, Drink, Entertainment, Room?
Usually try to go Biz Class...but the best I could find is $2800/pp on Lufthansa.

CO doesn't fly to Naples. You want to check what connections you're getting.

CO's BusinessFirst service is considered pretty good. The seats are not lie-flat on any of their plane, but most think they're quite comfortable.

CO also flies three types of planes over the Atlantic - 757, 767 and 777. The seat configurations are different and the impression one gets can be very varied. I'll explain more if interested.

Hi hc - I'm also confused. Are you flying through Newark to Rome on CO then connecting to Naples? Or making some other connections? Did you end up with BusinessFirst or, as your post suggests, economy? As rkkwan says, it also depends on what type of aircraft you're on. Will be glad to comment further once we know more.

Connections are Jax- Newark- Milan then Naples. Looked like CO the whole way.
Opted to fly rather than train from Rome to Naples.

Unfortunately am flying coach. www.seatguru.com for the configuration on the 767-200. Typical 2 - middle - 2 seating.

Coach on CO's 767 is very good. One of the most comfortable aircraft to fly across the Atlantic in coach.

You have a personal screen with about 10 channels and 20 audio channels. Not "on-demand" however. Seat has reasonable 32" pitch, winged and adjustable headrest, and almost 18" wide.

Dinner is okay, but the breakfast is very very light. Usually a croissant and a few pieces of grapes, that kind of thing. You pay $5 for alcoholic drinks, or you can get a small discount if you buy the "Continental Currency" coupons at the check-in kiosk.

The FCO-NAP flight will be on Alitalia.

The wine is free on foreign airlines!!!

Continental will probably keep the "Fasten Seat Belt Sign" ON for the entire flight. Don't drink too much wine.

not sure if this is any help but here in the Uk there are lots of airlines that fly direct to Naples i.e Manchester, London, Birmingham etc with charter and some of our Budget airlines i.e. easyjet.ryanair/BMI baby/1st choice. Maybe you could get a direct flight to a major uk airport and just hope on any budget flight, they are like your Jetblue & frontier and are fine for the 2 hour ish journey from UK to Naples, I love in NW england and have no prob going from Manchester to Naples. Also I much prefer 2-4-2 on the 767 it feels very spacious and the 2 ailes make a difference.Try www.travelsupermarket.com for flights etc
