is a 45minTransit/connection time at Milan Linate realistic?

Is a 45 minute transit time at Milan Linate enough?

Coming from heathrow, Its an Alitalia code share flight..have to change planes to a Air One to get to palermo to arrive at 11pm...
But The chance of being delayed out of heathrow is reasonably high.

I know if I book through the airline I'm covered, but it is a short weekend trip to visit some family, so want to know if its realistic!

Thanks.

Small airport. Should be fine. FWIW, Alitalia and Air One are a single company now.

But if you're not citizen of a EU country, you may spend 45 minutes just to get through immigration at any Italian airport.

I would never take a transfer that short... anywhere. I'm surprised it's a "legal connection". This is not specific to your airport (because I have no idea) but too much can go wrong. All you need is your inbound flight to be delayed a few minutes and you're out of luck.

As long as your airlines are linked and you are not delayed

or do not have to go through customs odds are great you will

make it I have with time to spare at Linate small and MXP

although the econos booked in advance usually cheaper
