Is 1 hour enough time to change planes at CDG?
We are flying on Air France from Los Angeles .to Paris arriving at CDG and changing planes to another Air France plane which will take us to Barcelona. Does this seem like enough time to you? Air France says it is fine, We don't know. We are flying business class so are some of the first off the flight but I still wonder if we can make the next flight, Appreciate opinions.

Without knowing the details of your flight (or unless your flight arrives an hour early), I say no.
Factors to consider: 1. Excessive taxi time. The last time I flew into CDG (it was from Atlanta), we taxied for 45 minutes. That is ridiculous. 2. Once your plane arrives at the gate, how long will it take you to deplane. 3. Clearing immigration & customs. 4. Getting to the next gate to grab your connecting flight. 5. If you need to switch terminals, you will not make your flight. Don't fret. If you miss your connecting flight, they will just put you on the next available flight. If you do miss your flight, take the opportunity to grab a shower, grab a croissant and coffee, and chill out. There is at least one hotel at the airport that lets rooms by the hour, should you find yourself there for longer than 4 hours. |
Edit: if your connecting flight is int he same terminal and you do not have to go through immigration, it might be possible. Like I said, we need more info, i.e., your flight numbers.

You will go through passport control (immigration) and security at CDG transferring from 2E to 2F https://www.airfrance.us/common/imag...terminal_2.pdf
I've made several 1 hour connections at CDG although it is tight. As a business class passenger you can use the Acces N.1 queues at passport control and security which are sometimes shorter. If you find yourself with a longer connection, there are showers at the 2F departure lounge as well as the 2C arrivals lounge which is landside and open til 2pm. |
Are you booked through on the same ticket?

We had one hour connections in CDG going to Venice and from Rome in May, both to/from the US. The connections were tight but we had a few minutes to spare. You will have to go through passport control and security. We showed our boarding passes to the official at the start of the passport line and he let us go to the short line since we had such little time.

Yes, we are booked through on the same ticket. I am hoping we can make the connection.
