Is $361 per person reasonable SLC-Orlando

We are considering taking the kids to Orlando for a trip from SLC. We have 9 so wondering what price range should I be on the look out for? Would like to take the kids the end of May.
Helpful hints on shopping for airline tickets?

I don't know if it's "reasonable" but it's the average fare in that market when you purchase this far in advance. Sale fares pop up (usually) about 60 days before travel date and lowest fares run until about 30 days before travel date. The sale fare can go down to about $280 depending on time of year, U.S. Air has some seats at $240 during low season. May would probably not go that low if schools are closing and there is lots of demand for seats.

Booking 10 or more tickets qualifies you for "group travel" on Southwest Airlines so you might want to call their group travel number to see what they can do for you. The lowest priced tickets on Southwest are not "refundable", but if you have a change of plans, at least you have one year to use your credit with Southwest...most other airlines are not nearly as flexible....in fact with most other airlines it would be very costly to change plans on such a large number of tickets.

One more note about searching for lowest fares....when seats go on sale, its possible that there are only, say, 4 or 8 seats opened up at the sale fare. If you search for 11 tickets, the lowest fare won't generate because there are only 4 seats available at that "lowest fare". So search for maybe just 1 seat to see what the actual "lowest" fare is...then check further to see how many you can get at that price. You might get only 4 "cheap seats" and then have to pay a higher fare for the other 7.
