International price drops?

Anyone have any inside info on possible price drops from US to Europe? We are planning a late September trip to France.

Airlines seem to be waiting a little longer this year to drop their prices which are really high. The price of fuel is high right now. What prices are you seeing?

Air France from San Francisco to Paris
(coach) about $1100 pp seems the lowest. It is also the only non-stop flight.

I would wait a little longer. I know Air Lingus had a sale for July/August. Do you have a desire to go to Dublin?

Pam - I wouldn't expect any big drops, but agree that it is a little early to judge that for fall fares. It's not unusual to see sales for flights after Labor Day, but airlines usually don't start publishing those until mid-summer or so. And with fuel still rising who knows. Have you checked kayak.com? You might find some lower fares if you're willing to connect somewhere - if AF is the only nonstop from SFO, they're probably less likely to reduce the fares. Having said that, I've been looking at fares from IAH - ARN for several weeks and they did drop by $150 in the last few days, but I'm not convinced that's any long term trend.
