International Flying! and im nervous!
So this will be my first time flying internationally alone to Seoul, South Korea. And I shouldn't say alone because I will be meeting up with my friend Phuna in SFO. So My flight will begin in Dulles international Airport and Then I will have a 58 Minute Layover when I reach SFO later that day and then I will Fly to South Korea. Both of my flights will be United airlines. So my Questions are:
1. Will I have to grab my luggage and make a run for it to my next flight when I reach SFO? 2. Will my luggage check all the way through to Incheon Airport in South Korea? |
1) No
2) Yes Hopefully, you check the luggage tag on the bag to make sure that's where the luggage was going. |
Rastaguytoday is correct.
If it will set your mind at ease, you might want to do what I do for international trips: before I zip up my checked bags, I place a sheet of paper inside with the following information: 1. My name 2. Address of my destination 3. Contact phone number 4. Email address 5. Flight numbers I do this in the unlikely event the tags get torn off and there is no way to ID my bag. On my return journey, I am not so concerned because I have a home full of clothes and toiletries :p |
Have a great trip!

When you check in for your first flight just watch what tag they put onto your checked luggage. Make sure it is the airport code for your final airport.
