I Want to fly to Hawaii
 

We are planning a trip to Hawaii for Sept 2002. When are the Airfares on American going to go on special? Last year we flew three times to Hawaii because the fares were so good. I know that tourism is down over there. We have read through different forums that people won't fly over there unless these huge prices come down. They always had specials for fall travel before now. What's up American?

I am sorry nobody replied to your message. I was wondering the same thing. I could go to Hawaii before 2003 and pay $681. I want to go in Feb 2003 and the best rate is almost 1100. I am scared to wait, as there may be no more seats. Oh, dear..

Depends on what Airline you have to go on. ATA is having specials right now, but that schedule doens't always work. Have you tried breaking the fare? That is flying to LAX or SFO..then add the SFO-HNL fare? Don't know if that will work or not.....<BR><BR>Keep checking--twice a day for fares..you are bound to find SOMETHING on sale!

I fly from Hartford. I've looked everywhere and have tried "breaking the fare". Since many of the air deals are through December 2002, I wonder if and when they will be extended.<BR>Thank you.

The fare I found using a departure of 14Feb03 for one week stay is 804.50 from Hartford to Honolulu. For travel in September prices start at 609.00. Fares for February may go down...but it's a crap shoot. Good luck!
