I LOVE those United FF miles!
 

Five members of our family are going to Hawaii next summer. I managed to get the required number of seats on Delta after a few sleepless nights. I called United to book our interisland flights. Its one of the few major airlines that still only require 5K for interisland flights on Aloha. Two of my sons had small balances, 5 K and 7K respectively, and I used 15K from my husband's account for the other three seats. I expected to have to purchase at least one seat. I was amazed when Aloha approved all 5!.

That's great! I tried to get 4 interisland seats on Aloha through UA earlier this year and had a difficult time finding available seats. On top of that it was taking so long for Aloha to reply, I had to call back the following day. Was your first choice approved? Did you have to wait long to get a reply?

Well, I'm trying again for 4 seats in Jan. I just put in my first request. Wish me luck!
