How to reach Air France by e-mail
We are trying to process a claim for delayed-luggage purchases with Air France, but all I can find is a street address. The telephone number given on the AF site never seems to be answered; so I'd like to send the first of what I imagine will be a number of e-mail messages to supplement the materials that we sent earlier this month.
We have a Catch 22 here: our travel insurer won't process our claim until AF either pays part of it or denies it entirely. Without a response from AF we're dead in the water.
Ideas?

I found this website that might be of interest to you. Many people seem to be in the same boat as you.

Thanks for the responses. Unfortunately, the Contacthelp site shows only telephone numbers--evidently Air France does not accept e-mails (one of the many problems with that airline). The second website is for American Airlines, not Air France. We mainly fly with AA and find their luggage service very good.

Underhill, I realize the website I provided doesn't show an email address, but if you read the comments left on the website, you will see that there are many, many people who are having the same problem as you. This makes me think that having an email address probably won't get you a faster response.

I checked the Christopher Elliiot site and was able to get e-mail addresses for the two top executives at Air France. So if I haven't heard within another month I'll write to both of them. That's worked very well with the presidents of Sears and Bank of America.

Six weeks after we submitted our claim to Air France by regular mail we received a letter saying that we will get a check for just about the entire cost of the clothing and shoes we had to buy. Very good resolution!
