How to Get a GOOD airline seat

I will be travelling in late Sept with Singapore airlines. When I did the booking - months ago - I was told that I could put in seat requests; which I did. I only now have found out that my requests can not be given to me and they have put me in seats with a bulkhead immediately behind me - so I can not fully recline the seat; and another right over the wing (going into Singapore I did want to be able to get a bit of a view). Do you know how I can change my seats? I do not expect I would get much chance if I wait until I am at the airport.

Is there a USA phone number for Singapore Airlines? You might call them. I know that I contacted Swiss International's USA number to select seats. The seats they gave us were not what we had wanted, and we did manage to get better ones.

Go the singapore airlines website and try to change your seats there. You can cross reference their seat map against one on www.seatguru.com to see if any of the better seats are available.

You can do it online. Just pull up the SIA site, put in your reference number and presto, the seating map comes up. You can also request special meals.
