Lufthansa? They will weigh your bags individually and will enforce the rules. They are German.

>> So, we were wondering what Lufthansa does. Actually, we will be traveling on Swiss.

If you are traveling on SWISS then why does it matter what LH does? I realize that LH owns LX.

Not to pile on here, but first you say Lufthansa then you tell us at the end of the thread that at Swiss. People are sharing their experiences on with Lufthansa, but with one or two exceptions I don’t think anyone has responded with their experience on the “light” fare. And indeed since the light fare is cheaper than plane economy there may be differences.
.
I also always think it’s strange when people ask about experiences like this – I might’ve gotten away with something like this but you may not. I might’ve had a rude gate agent you may have somebody wonderful who doesn’t care. Unless everyone is in agreement that given the fare basis they’ve always had it checked or never had the weight checked I don’t think you can extrapolate from individual experiences.

In other words, the plural of anecdotes is not data.

I am guessing you are not POC. If you were, you'd know what I am talking about.

Um, Norwegian did that for us at Logan Airport on April 12, 2019. So it can happen.

Well, then go for it. It happened once maybe it’ll happen again although everyone else’s experience says it won’t happen. BTW, that was on Norwegian. You are not flying Norwegian.

Oh, I know very well what you are talking about - and I call BS. Hold for a minute on your invalid assumptions about me, and explain how anyone posting here would be able to discern your status without your disclosing it (which you did not.)

Doesn't matter your race or ethnic background, they aren't going to weight a family's carry-ons together and divide by 4. That isn't going to happen.

You post "Can always count on Fodorites to respond with "follow the rules, you will be fine," or "just pay the money" instead of answering the question posed, which is "what has been your experience with Lufthansa and bag weights?" Thanks to the few of you who actually answered the question"

So you chide Fodorites as a whole about failing to understand the question but then say you are not flying LH anyway. Really?

FWIW, my experiences with Swiss are pretty much the same as with Lufthansa (Zurich is my “home” airport).
