How Many Passport Pages?
Hi all,
We have a 9 country itinerary coming up in January:UAE, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, Singapore and Hong Kong. How many totally blank passport pages we will need? Both of us have several other pages with room for stamps - but totally blank I have 8 blank pages and my fiancé has 9. Thanks Shawn |
If you are from the US the State Dept. has that information on the individual country pages.
E.g. https://travel.state.gov/content/tra.../Thailand.html |
I have travelled to many of those countries multiple time and having a blank page has never been an issue, certainly in the case Thailand Cambodia, Indonesia and Vietnam where they have always been happy to put there stamp on a page that already has the stamp of other countries.
When I have been running short of pages i have stuck a Post It note over a couple of blank pages to encourage immigration officials to stamp on a non blank page. Basically, i wouldn’t worry about it. |
Hong Kong does not stamp. You receive a small slip of paper at immigration with all the data printed on it, but no stamp in your passport.
Thai immigration officers had so far been cautious to find large enough spaces on the already stamped pages. Singapore as well. |
Thanks so much all! Feel better now! I’ll use the post it note trick for sure!

That's a good idea. I don't know why, but some passport stamper people love to mess up a completely new page even when there is plenty of room on others with some stamp already for them to stamp. I really wouldn't worry about it at all, there is no international "rule" that every country must have one completely blank new page. |
