How is Skyauction?
I see prices on their website that are really low and I wonder if anyone out there has had a good experience. Thank you.

Friends bid on a trip to South Africa and got a good deal, though I was not familiar with any othe the accommodatons they used.
But if you've done your homework as to where you want to go, see, accommodations, know regular prices to compare - and the skyauction package meets your needs, go and bid. But do check out all the extras - fee, taxes, extra days etc. Read everything! |
Marla,
SkyAuction is great. We have used them for various packages 4 times. Never a problem. Like Sandi said, *read* everything carefully. A $100 bid might end up being $150 once everything is added in. Many people win bids for *more* than what they could simply buy the item for directly. Feel free to email me with any specific questions: [email protected] |
Marla - I have also used SkyAuction before and didn't have any problems. I won a bid on airfare from OKC to Jamaica. I had already been checking on prices so I knew what the going rate was for the time I wanted to travel. The price I paid w/SkyAuction was about $75.00 less, so it was a good deal. All the fees, restrictions, etc. were clearly stated in the bid info. Hope this helps.

Two caveats:
* Do your homework, and double-check to be SURE your math is right (i.e., always see what Hotline can do for you before placing your Skyauction bid) * Read the fine print (Can't overemphasize this enough -- the add-on fees, taxes, excluded items, etc. often SUBSTANTIALLY increase the true price of what initially *looks* like a good deal The 4-5 times I've tried to use Skyauction, I always bagged it before confirming a bid because the conditions were lousy or because I was able to handily beat the price elsewhere. IMHO, Skyauction isn't that great. Have fun! Mark www.tiogringo.com |
