How early can I check in...

for a international US Airways flight? I want to get the best seats possible. I get different times from the airline telephone reps. I know I have to be there 2hrs to 90 minutes before for the flight... but can I check in 6 or 10 hours early to get good seats and then leave and come back to the airport two hours before the flight?

Hello s! <BR>I try to get to the airport at least three hours in advance. I try to be one of the first people checking in for a flight. After a disaster the first time I flew internationally, I have actually waited for Air France to open their counter at 4PM for a 7:50 flight. First on line, checked in, go have a cocktail. Check with USAirways and find out what time they open the check in for that flight. If you live near the airport, I would make a visit. Early, early check-ins make me feel secure. I am a bit over organized for my own good!

Thanks. I forgot to mention that I want to arrive early because I have some space available upgrades.
