how do i: borrow miles ? transfer miles? book multi-city online?

Looking at flying 5 of us (yes, involving kids, I know I'm insane) using FF miles from Phl-Paris and return London - Phl. (there is availability on the dates interested)

Tickets are 42,500 miles RT !!!

But... we are still short some miles. I have 60k, my dh has 130k. Other than using miles to buy 4 and cash to buy the 5th, can we:
- transfer miles from my account to his to use ? (cost???)
- transfer miles from another family member ? (cost???)
- borrow miles (how long does the mileage credit take for the mastercard offer ?)

How do we book multi-city online ?

thanks:)

You didn't say which airline, though I suspect US Airways since you're deparing from Philadelphia?

Your questions are answered on US Airways website under "Share Miles." The cost is the same regardless who is transferring miles to who (there's no discount for one spouse transferring to the other spouse).

From US Airways website:
Mileage Pricing
1 cent per mile
$25 processing fee
50,000 miles maximum per transaction

---------------
But based on the amount you have between the 2 of you, I don't see why you need to transfer. You can get 1 ticket with your miles, and you can get 3 tickets with you husband's miles. Then just pay with cash for the 5th ticket.

CC miles will take weeks, if not months, to post.

For your openjaw booking on US Airways:

One-way and multi-city award travel reservations can only be made by calling our 24-hour Reservations Center at 800-428-4322.

and since you need to do it from 2 different accounts and buy 1 ticket, regardless if you need to call, I would call anyways. Imagine if you used your husbands miles for 3 tickets on line and when you came back with your account and the same flight(s) were not available?

When you're doing something as complicated as you're trying to do, regardless if it can/'t be done on line, it's just better to call.
