How did you do in 2009?
#21
I'm done for the year.
Total mileage - 74,525 - earned PE on UA again
Total flights - 20
Flew SIA, UA, US Air, Swiss, Lufthansa, Air New Zealand, Jetstar (mileage not included above).
New airlines for me were Swiss, (which was disappointing) and US Air. I did get to fly UA's new Business Class with the lay down seats on several trips - very nice.
One new airport for me - ADE
Used miles to upgrade to Business on SIN-NRT-SFO and return.

I didn't fly that much this year. Thanks to Double EQMs I barely requalified for elite status.
What are BIS miles?
Number of flights, 19, which is very very low, I usually fly 40 or 50 flights each year.
New airlines, CO.
New airports, CUN.
Did not fly any new types of aircraft.

My daughter posted her flights on FlyerTalk so I thought that I would post mine here. All of my flights were on American Airlines in 2009 and all flights were purely for fun - no business travel since I am retired. I am probably one of AA's oldest Executive Platinum members.
My AA statistics for 2009:
Program to Date Miles 2,456,076 (AA Platinum for Life)
YTD Elite Qualifying Points 69,472
YTD Elite Qualifying Miles 132,894
YTD Elite Qualifying Segments 30
My flights for 2009 with no delays, cancellations, and/or lost bags:
January
DFW to CDG to CDG
February
DFW to OGG to DFW
1 1/2 days later
DFW to LHR to DFW
March
DFW to CDG to ORD to CDG
We volunteered our seats for the DFW to CDG flight since the flight was overbooked; we were upgraded to business from CDG to ORD
April
DFW to CDG to ORD to CDG
DFW to FRA to DFW
May
DFW to CDG to ORD to DFW
DFW to ORD to DUB to ORD to DFW
June
DFW to ANC to DFW
July
DFW to JAC to DFW
August
DFW to DCA to DFW
September
DFW to JAC to DFW
DFW to ANC to DFW
DFW to JFK to ZRH to JFK to DFW
October
DFW to CDG to DFW
November
DFW to LHR to DFW (business class both ways)
DFW to CDG to DFW
All domestic flights were upgraded to first except for award travel.
Since I achieved Executive Platinum status in October 2009, I am not planning any more travel in 2009. However, I am flying to Hawaii on January 1 in an effort to requalify.

Number of flights: 34
New airports: 2 - SFO & NRT
New airlines: 2 - JAL & JBU
30 of my flights were taken on WIA and AA and only 2 each were taken on JAL and JBU. Really enjoyed JAL's executive class to NRT and their Sakura lounge at NRT is the best airline lounge I've been in yet. ;-)

wow, you guys certainly get around! I was happy with my year, having 3 pleasure trips/vacations, and getting great prices on plane tickets each time. Seattle/Los Cabos on Aeromexico, Seattle/Oakland on Alaska, and Seattle/Honolulu on Hawaiian Air. Hardly seems worthly of this thread though!

Don't feel bad suze - I thought DH and I did a fair amount of travel, but NOTHING compared to what I just read! Then again, we only travel for pleasure (never business), and we both work full time.
All in all, we managed to fly r/t from ny to: Italy (Rome, and Florence), Chile (Santiago), Spain (and then driving through various cities), cruise around the Caribbean, Chile (again), and the Bahamas.
How many miles? I don't keep track
New airports? Florence, Madrid
Kind of plane? I don't care, as long as it gets me there in one piece, with luggage, and close to on-time. Very successful in all counts.
New airline? None.
Free trips? 2
I hope 2010 will be even better!
Wishing all of you safe and happy flying too.

This is an embarassment but I only took one trip by air in 2009, mainly due to a serious illness. But I'm better now and I plan to do a lot more in 2010. Here's my one trip for 2009:
Romania
For this trip I flew:
CO from AUS to IAH,
NW from IAH to MSP (Minneapolis, new airport for me)
DL from MSP to CDG
AF from CDG to OTP (OTP is Bucharest, another new airport for me)
That's it. Please don't kick me off the board. I WILL do better in 2010.
