help with short layover ....
I am currently looking at an airfare from the US to Zurich....on United...then changing to another United flight for a one hour flight to the final european destination. There is a 55 minute time span between the landing from the US into Zurich and when the next flight takes off.
Is this a doable/makable connection? As I said it is the same airline, United...continuing on a new flight to Venice.thanx |
ZRH is a relatively small airport and making connections is easy. Your 2nd flight may be a United flight #, but it will NOT be a United airplane but rather Swiss. (United codeshare partner).
I would not be concerned with 55min layover. Be sure to find out when the next ZRH to VCE flight is though, in case you miss your connection. |
ZRH is pretty spread out and security is done at the remote terminals, so switching terminals might entail delays. But don't worry, they'll get you there if you miss your connection.

hey guys thanx for the info so far..
anyone else with experience at Zurich connections? |
In general, everything in Switzerland runs like clockwork. Had a five minute train change and our group and baggage made it! I wouldn't worry about a thing in Zurich.

ok everyone...have pulled the trigger and confirmed a flight into VCE and out of FLR..with that 55 min connection in Zurich....eeek...yet I bit and took your advice not to worry:)
oh the fare was 770 from RDU east coast...I felt as if that was pretty good considering how crazy european and Italian itineraries can be. I decided to go ahead and get this baby out of the way. |
