Help with flight choices on COPA

I am trying to book a flight to Quito, EC(UIO) in June.

I usually fly out of PHL but prices are very high.

Decent flight prices (that I can find) are on COPA from BWI or EWR. Both flight options have two stops.

One flight has 1 hour connection in Houston. Is it possible to make this connection?

The other flight has a less than one hour in Panama City to connect.

Does anyone have any experience on which flight would be better? I dont want to miss the flight from Panama City to Quito!

Thanks in advance

1. Have you checked flights on http://matrix.itasoftware.com/cvg/dispatch/ ? There may be other options. That require only one connection and no short layover.

2. The Houston connection should be fine. It is a sizable airport but well laid out and easy to get around. Can't comment about Panama City.

I used itasoftware, kayak and a few other sites for my options.

Itasoftware shows a terminal change in IAH.

Thanks Seamus for your insight about Houston.

COPA doesn't fly to IAH. IAH-PTY is on a Continental Airlines jet, which will depart from Terminal C or E. Your flight coming from EWR or BWI also will be at C or E. The two terminals are connected, and you don't have to reclear security. Depending on the gates used, you may walk or take a train between C and E.
