Hawaiian Airlines

We are flying Hawaiian Airlines from San Francisco with a stopover in Honolulu to Auckland in economy. Does anyone have any comments or recommendations about their experience with Hawaiian?

It's a very nice airline. Planes are modern and clean, staff mostly friendly, food decent. Most flights are on -time. The main complaint I hear is about their entertainment.

We fly them to Hawaii from SFO 1-2x a year, mostly for work. We prefer them to the other airlines though I would recommend getting the two seats on the side vs. center, at least on planes we've flown. Otherwise we go for two aisle seats across from each other.

Haven't flown them to NZ (Took Air NZ in Premium Economy from SFO to Aukland) so not sure about that one. A long time to be in Economy so hope they take care of you.

The entertainment is a bit lame as lcuy mentioned, with "digiplayers" or little laptops for movies etc. but that's not high priority for us.

HA uses A330 for both SFO and AKL. They have personal TV screens - should be AVOD

We must have gotten an older plane in December (most recent flight) -- glad they are upgrading the media.

Okay so basically it sounds like the flight should be uneventful and be a fairly good flight as long as we use our iPads. Thanks everyone for all of your comments.

Neuman605, how was your flight? We are taking them next month to Kauai from SFO, through Honolulu. I have to say, when I called them to ask questions, they were extremely nice and helpful.
