Have confirmation of AF flight but......
We have a confirmation number for a flight leaving for Paris (AF) next Monday.However, we were told we could get seat assignments when we got to the ticket area with our luggage...
I am worried that we will get bumped with all the others who are already booked on this flight..we are in San Diego and have to get to LAX for the flight. Do you think we should try to get the seats online before? It's been impossible to do that on the website so far.

If this airline allows you to check in 24 hours in advance, you can often change your seats at that time. It is great that you at least have seats which puts you in a much better position than those who aren't even assured of seats. If you can't check in 24 hours ahead, try to get to the airport early and request a change of seats.
