has anyone flown with clickair

Found clickair to likely have a connection I need from Frankfurt to Barcelona. They're part of Iberia, only operating since 2006? Reliable? Does it seem save to depend on flights operating next spring?

It is a new airline and Iberia owns most of it, I heard. This summer when they started operating I booked Geneva - Barcelona for 60€ return/tax inclided. It is only for the end of this year in 2 weeks so I cannot give you my experience yet. I have not heard nor read any news about the operation of this comany (no bad things nor good things). I take it as a good sign.

Clickair is a joint venture between Iberia and 4 other large Spanish companies.

Iberia's answer to the low cost competitors (Easyjet, Vueling etc.) that have grown strongly at Barcelona airport has been to basically shut down its traditional hub operations there and co-found a low cost carrier of its own, Clickair, to serve the airport.

Will fly them for the first time this coming Thursday from Barcelona to Zurich. Watch this space for a full report ;-)

Hope this helps,
Andre

OK, so here goes:

1) Check in:
Same terminal (B) as Iberia, 2 dedicated counters for the flight. Lines moved reasonably fast. No web check in or kiosks.

2) Boarding:
Punctual, used a bus gate. Crowded all passengers into 1 bus.
No assigned seats, but passengers were quite well-behaved upon exiting bus. Stairs at front and rear to board the plane.

3) Cabin:
Standard Airbus 320 interior, same seats as Swiss uses, but very low seat pitch! Could not use my laptop on tray table due to lack of space.

4) Flight:
Everything must be purchased (even water), didn't partake so can't comment. No positives or negatives re: crew, they seemed OK.

5) Arrival:
Landing in Zurich was punctual, used a finger dock at terminal E. No checked luggage, so can't comment on that aspect.

Would I fly again? Only if significantly cheaper (> 50 CHF) or better schedule than Swiss.
Negatives: standing in line for check in, lack of legroom, no seat assignments.
Positives: cheap, punctual.
